The new groups are broken down like this:
Group 1: Swimmers that have graduated from swim
lessons. They can swim a length of the pool without stopping on their
front and on their back. This will be our youngest group by age but not
confined to a specific age depending on the swimmer.
Group 2: Swimmers who have a solid understanding and
ability to swim all four strokes and are ready to swim 1.5
hours per practice. This group will be learning technique and
basic training aspects of the sport of swimming.
Group 3: Swimmers
who are able to handle 2+ hours of training 5 days per week. This
group will have
a higher level of technical skill in their stroke technique and will
be expected to train at a higher level than the previous groups.
Group 6: This group will be for (but not
limited to) swimmers 10-13
years old that are relatively new to the sport of swimming. They
have the basics of the sport but need to work on technique to improve.
Swimmers in this group will be training only 1 hour per day 3 days per
week.
Senior Group: This group is for our high school
age swimmers and elite age-group swimmers. This group will train at a high level
and will require a true commitment from the swimmers in attendance and
effort at practice.
P/T Senior Group: This group is for high school
age swimmers that are looking to stay in shape during the summer. This
group will train will a goal to prepare them for their high school
swimming season in the fall/winter. They will practice 3 times per week.
