The Bryan Swim Team Association welcomes you to the 2006 GNOAC Swimming Championships! We are looking forward to serving as hosts for the Conference Championships this year. TIME:  Prelims begin at 9:00a.m.

             Finals will begin with warm-ups 2 hours after the conclusion of prelims.

             The precise time will be announced each day of the meet.

ENTRY INFORMATION: 

 

There will be both championship and consolation final heats (top 12 from the preliminaries).

 

Each team may enter up to four(4) individuals in each individual event. However, in the case that all four (4) entrants from a team finish in the top 12 in prelims, the 4th place swimmer is ineligible to compete in Finals.  Each team is permitted two (2) entries per relay event.

 

Swimmers intending to compete in the Open 500 Freestyle Events must have swam at least the following times or faster during the current dual meet season according to GNOAC Bylaws Section 4.F:

Women-6:23.35

Men     -6:20.56

 

Entries are due by 6:00 p.m. on July 7th, 2006.  Please submit all times in meters as our pool is a 25 meter pool.    Swimmers must have competed in two separate individual dual meets to be eligible for the championship meet.  Any changes may be made thru July 9th, 2006 at 6:00 p.m...  Such changes will be entered as a not time.  No changes will be accepted after that.  Swimmer’s who qualify but are mistakenly not entered by his/her coach or entry chairperson may be entered with a no time provided the $25.00 penalty is paid.  Swimmers entered due to these exceptions will be eligible for Awards and score points.  Please send all entries to:

Psyche sheets will be posted on the BST Website no later than July 12th at www.bryanswimteam.com

 

AWARDS:  8 and under awards will be distributed at the conclusion of the preliminary                  Session on Saturday.  All other awards will be bagged and a coach from each team will pick up at the conclusion of Finals on Sunday.

 

There will be a concession stand open all day, both Saturday and Sunday.  Full breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on both days.  Heat sheets will also be available at the concession stand.

Each team is also responsible for providing two timers for one lane at each session of the meet.  You should also select an alternate for each session in case of emergency.  Please turn this information in to the Meet Director upon your arrival on Saturday.

 

Each team is requested to supply at least two officials for the swimming championships.  Since some teams may have a hard time supplying two officials, if you team can supply more than two it would be greatly appreciated.  A form is enclosed for your use to indicate the name, address and telephone number of your officials.  They may indicate on the form the sessions that they would prefer to work, however scheduling requirements may not make that possible.  Officials should indicate if there are any sessions they know they cannot work.  All officials will meet at the scorers table with the Head Referee at 8:00 a.m. on each day of the meet.

 

Delphos Tent Rental will be supplying team tents.  Kathy Breitigam is in charge of reserving the tents for all GNOAC teams.  Please contact her if you need to make changes in your tent size from previous years.

 

Bryan and nearby Montpelier have several options for lodging.   There were a few issues encountered at the 1999 conference so we are asking that you please be respectful while visiting our community.  The following is a list of area hotels:
